The condition of a patient‘s tissues and existing periodical diseases can be described by gum pain, tenderness, bleeding or swelling. Untreated gingivitis can turn into periodontitis, teeth may become loose, interdental spaces can get bigger, a patient might have bad breath, abscesses may develop. During the periodontological research, X-ray images are produced, gingival "pockets" are measured,  an individual treatment is applied. Conservative treatment methods are as follows: oral hygiene and deep gum cleaning. If there are no visible results, a surgical treatment is then selected. A periodontal disease often develops unnoticed and does not have any symptoms, thus, it is very important to visit your dentist regularly. It is always easier to prevent diseases than to treat teeth of poor condition.
